A total of 21 players participated in Le Club West Island Junior Squash Open on Feb 13th, 2010. The tournament included an Intermediate draw and a novice draw.
In the Intermediate division final 2nd seed Patrick Seguin-Morin faced 4th seed Daniel McClay. Daniel won the 1st game thanks to steady and accurate backhand drop shots. However Patrick adjusted his game accordingly and won the next 3 games to take the match. In the consolation draw Sebastien Boucley won against James Kierans by a score of 3-2. Antoine Pigeon won the “Tinner” draw by default. In the Novice division 2nd seed Adam Ackle lost against Patrick McClay in the semis. This resulted in a final between McClay and top-seed Tommy Scott which was won by Tommy 3-0. In the consolation draw 4th seed Gabrielle Renaud met and won against Adam Ackle in the semis by a close score of 3-2. Gabrielle continued on to play her 5th match of the tournament to meet Vincent Lamoureux in the final. The two players struggled with their serves but Gabrielle was determined not to let that distract her. She persevered and won the final by a score of 3-0. 2000 West Island Junior Open
Le premier tournoi junior du millénaire a eu lieu au Club West le 22 janvier dernier. Une cinquantaine de participants, dont une vingtaine de novices, se sont affrontés dans sept catégories différentes, ce qui a donné lieu à beaucoup d'action et de très nombreux matchs, d'autant plus que des joueurs s'étaient inscrits dans deux catégories.
