Most of the excitement in the Girls Under 13 happened the first night.  Shannon and Cassidy played each other upon arriving at the Ottawa Athletic Club and it turned out the result in their 5 set match would determine the winner of the event. 

In the Boys Under 15 Mathieu Diab and Seb Boudreau, faced each other in the semi finals, again a match that would have made a great final.  After these two boys finished their match they cruised to easy wins in Final and 3^rd / 4^th play-off.

In the Boys Under 13 David Baillargeon had an easy run to the finals.  Although the finals for David Baillargeon and Thomas Bletcher would go the distance with David taking the lead in the 5th and never relinquishing till the end of the match.   James Kierans played Oliver Bletcher in the 5th / 6th final but was unable to slow Bletcher who took the match in 3 games.

Marc Richardson squeezed his opponent in the 5^th / 6^th play-off match.  Win McKay’s fitness failed him in his final match of the tournament, resulting in too many errors giving Marc the win in 4.

I would like to thank Dominique Smith for her hard play through the weekend and help with the refereeing.  She was a good role model for the younger kids at the tournament.  She placed second in the Girls Under 17 draw and will be gunning for stronger results next time!
